The Naked Voice Training, Part 2 - 5-Day Retreat, BreconSubmitted by Chloë Goodchild on Sat, Aug 23 2008 - 01:19 |
The Naked Voice Training, founded by international singer and music educator Chloe Goodchild, introduces the compassionate power of sound, voice and song for the 21st century. It is practical and accessible to everyone, and it offers you a unique opportunity to realise your true nature through the vehicle of your authentic voice and presence in the world.
The Naked Voice Training is an ongoing series of 5-Day in-depth residential retreats that take place twice each year in the Spring and Autumn respectively.
They provide a sanctuary within which beginners, committed practitioners, and accredited NV facilitators and teachers can deepen their practice and mentor each other together in community.
The Naked Voice Training methodology focuses on the integration of three realms of communication - contemplative, creative and compassionate – through a process of deep non-judgemental listening and self-inquiry. Participants learn to express themselves across a wide spectrum of human feeling - spoken, sung and silent – as they evolve conscious and courageous new ways of communicating together and alone, giving voice to positive human values, essential for our time. The process is initiated by sound and vocal practices that access the wisdom of the individual through:
Contemplative listening skills: Learning to calm the mind, to listen to and observe your life without judging
Creative listening skills: Learning to open and express your heart without fear
Compassionate listening skills: Learning to transform negative emotion into positive human feeling
