Weekend Retreat: June 25th – 27th
Poetry is the language of the soul. When we enter the world of a poem, when we take it into our body and heart, it becomes an inner teacher, leading us beyond the boundaries of the familiar into the undiscovered "Self within self". When we speak a poem aloud, we receive its medicine and can offer it to others, thus becoming a voice for truth and healing.
5 Day Retreat: June 27th – July 2nd
(only open to those who have previously worked with Kim)
Continuing beyond the weekend into the retreat we dive deeper into silence, sound, breath and spoken word: an immersion in intimate meeting with the poems we love and the poems we write. In addition there will be sessions of breath work, chanting and movement. We will enter the silence together and alone. The retreat will culminate in a "mysterium": an exploration beyond ordinary words that spans poetry and music, night and day, sound and silence, waking and sleeping, aloneness and communion.
