THE MAP

I am having problems with the map page Francis, dont seem to be able to get
the actual map up and can only see a small number of members on it. Maybe you
are still working on this area, or is it something I am doing?

Also I see from the front page that a lot of new members have joined recently. Is
there a complete list of members somewhere on site that I have not found?

Several issues to consider

Hi Hilary,

The map currently shows 4 members in Ireland and 13 on the British mainland, and one or two in other geographical territories. To be shown on the map, you need to be a subscribing member of the NVFA and also have chosen not to remain with an anonymous website login. For privacy reasons, we cannot show members' locations who do not have a "public" website identiy.

Regarding the new members shown on the front page, these are members of the public who have requested a website login and have been approved to join the website. They are not members of the NVFA, all of whom already have either public or anonymised website logins. Nor have they completed Module 1 as far as I can see in most cases. These members of the public who have registered with the website clearly are candidates for Friend membership of the NVFA and we can discuss off-line about how best to proceed regarding this issue. You can browse through the list of website members at http://www.thenvfa.org/profile - note it spans multiple pages.

Returning to the map question, from a technical point of view it is complete and works fine on all of the systems I have tested it on. If you are having problems, there are several options to check:
1) ensure you have JavaScript enabled for this site (sometimes this is affected by anti-virus programs)
2) try using a different web browser, e.g. Firefox
3) try on a different computer or in an internet cafe/library etc

The map

Hi Francis

Thanks very much for you explanation about the map and the members, I had no idea there so many anonymous website logins. So am I write in understanding that the members which arent on the map are people who want to remain anonymous - that seems very strange, if they are Facilitators.

Funny went into the Map tonight and for the first time out of 10 attempts the full map came into being! The Universe is rooting for me.
