Stella Davies - 'Soul Lines' CDSubmitted by Stella Davies on Tue, Sep 02 2008 - 21:09 |
My latest CD is called Soul Lines and features some of the most powerful mantras which have resonated strongly with me. Here are samples to enjoy!
Since time immemorial, mantras have been used in spiritual traditions as a way of connecting us back to our true divine natures. Mantra is the sound expression of the Supreme Being or Source. It is a home-coming, the way back to relationship with One Self. When we sing or chant mantra, the sound encourages us to disregard the 'separateness' of the ego and allows us to merge with the All That Is.

Here's a detailed track listing for Soul Lines:
| 1. The Gayatri Mantra Om Bhuh Bhuvaha Swaha Tat Savitur Vareneyam Bhargo Devasya Dimahi Dhiyo Yonaha Prachodayat |
The Mother of All Mantras, which calls upon all Beings who have become Enlightened before us to fill us with Light and illuminate our intellects so that we too may achieve Enlightenment |
| 2. Om Gum Ganapatayei Namaha | A salutation to Hindu Elephant-headed Ganesh, Great Remover of Obstacles and God of Auspicious Beginnings |
| 3. Narasimha Ta Va Da So Hum | A salutation to the Man-Lion Being Narasimha, an earthly incarnation of Vishnu created for the purpose of helping us transmute negative forces and to invoke protection |
| 4. Om Hum So Hum | A mantra to help us with the balancing of masculine and feminine energies, and to help us focus on breath and placement of conciousness |
| 5. Namo Kwan Shi Yin Pu Sa | An invocation to the Feminine Archetype Kwan Yin, inspiring Compassion, Grace and Mercy for ourselves and the planet |
